February 26-27;  July 29-30

Rhode Island Bar Exam Format

The Rhode Island Bar Exam exam lasts two days.  On day one, twelve essay questions are given.  On day two, the Multistate Bar Exam is administered. Click here for more information about AmeriBar's Multistate Bar Review Course.

Rhode Island Bar Exam Scoring Information

Applicants can pass the Rhode Island Bar Exam in two ways.  First, an applicant passes if he or she attains a scaled score of at least 140 on the MBE and at least 7 out of 12 on the essay portion.  Second, an applicant passes if he or she attains a scaled score of at least 135 on the MBE and scores at least 9 out of 12 on the essay portion.
